All of us have at least one t-shirt that we’ve kept for longer than we should have. It’s highly likely it’s because we have an emotional connection to it.

As creatives, we want to craft brands, experiences and objects that generate an emotional connection with people, ensuring our work has cultural value and longevity.

Eatery is a small Sydney based multidisciplinary creative studio that works with hotels, hospitality, high end lifestyle & retail brands and the luxury property sectors. Take a look at our client list.

Melissa Gardner

Co-Founder/COO, Designer, Yarn Lover & LoFi Beats enthusiast

Drawing on her passion for travel, food & dining, Mel’s vision for the Eatery was to create a studio who’s core focus was hospitality & lifestyle, with a team who was able to deliver not only design and aesthetic, but also a strategic concept from the ground up, giving us the ability to design better with more substance and heart.

Mel believes that success is driven by developing genuine relationships and working with like-minded, ambitious people. With her 20 years of industry experience in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, and as the Chief Operating Officer, Mel’s love of organisation and business management has given the Eatery a solid base to build on.

When she’s not at work, Mel is likely to be knitting to LoFi beats, watching the latest nordic noir or enjoying a responsible amount of flat whites.

Drew Fellows

Co-Founder/Design Director, Artist, Sneakerhead & Radio DJ(ish)

People can get obsessed about a lot of things, for Drew, its design (and sneakers). Like Mel, he wanted to take his 18 years of creative industry experience and target that energy into an area he was deeply passionate about: food and hospitality.

For 18+ years, he has been creating work for retail, property, hospitality, government and the arts sectors, in both Brisbane and Sydney. This has given him an exceptional grasp of brands and brand strategy, which he brings to the hospitality & lifestyle worlds as the Eatery’s Design Director. He loves the pure minimalism of Swiss design just as much as the chaotic rhythm and poetry of graffiti.

When he’s not at work, Drew is likely to be buying more sneakers, producing his own radio show or drinking too many espressos.
